These wonderful Barbie tree ornaments are from the Doll Collection of Dona LaPorte.
Dona started collecting dolls in 1950 when here first daughter was born. She had 4 girls so the collection continued to grow through the decades until her death in 2020, at which time there were over 10,000 dolls in her home.
Dona’s 4 daughters have donated her Barbie ornaments to the BCHS to be use to decorate the tree at the National Railroad Museum and then be sold as a fundraiser for the Hazelwood Historic House.
